DEF is a grassroots feminist disability justice organization rooted in Uganda and the diaspora.
Through advocacy, art, care, and connection, we work to advance visibility, protection, and
leadership for disabled and gender-diverse communities.

We center people with disabilities, especially those who are gender-diverse, alongside allies, activists, and service providers.

Yes. You can submit anonymously if you wish. We review all contributions carefully and will never share personal information without consent.

values of justice, access, and lived experience.
